PCOS Skincare: Castor and Grapeseed Oil Face Wash

Author Dia Kline for ezjoLife.com

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Grapeseed Oil Food or Cosmetic Grade
  • 1/4 cup Castor Oil Cold Pressed

Instructions

  1. Put both oils into a glass measuring cup and stir with a glass, wood or plastic mixing stick. Once combined, simply pour into a glass bottle for daily use.

How To Use

  1. Pour a quarter sized amount into your palm

  2. Rub your hands together then rub the oil all over your face, neck and chest

  3. Use small gentle circles. Massage for 30 seconds. This will cleanse your skin and remove your makeup.

  4. Wet a washcloth with hot water and let that sit over your face for a good 30 seconds. The heat will help the castor oil penetrate your skin.

  5. Wipe the oil off while continuing to rinse the wash cloth as you go over your face, neck and chest.

  6. Re-apply a small amount of oil on your skin before finishing with your moisturizer.

Recipe Notes

Castor oil has VERY strong exfoliating powers. Do not put it your face without using a carrier oil. I've found that the best ratio of grapeseed to castor oil is 3:1. You may need to experiment with the ratio to see if your face likes slightly more or less castor oil.
